Expired in a Few Minutes

Death came suddenly to Mrs. Alica Samantha Haun last Thursday afternoon.

She was going  from her home on Metcalfe Street to visit her daughter,
Mrs. Nelson Watts on Cedar Street.

Before reaching her destination, the aged lady fell on the way. She was picked up by a passerby and taken to the nearest residence, which happened to be that of her daughter, Mrs. Watts.

Dr. Boyd was notified and arrived immediately, just in time to see Mrs. Haun breathe her last. The cause of death was heart failure.

The funeral was held on 25 Jan 1920, from the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. Nelson Watts, to Oakwood Cemetery, the services being in charge of the Salvation Army.

Deceased was born in Charlotteville 71 years ago. Two son and two daughters survive:
James of Simcoe,
William of Port Dover,
Mrs. Nelson Watts of Simcoe and
Mrs. Joseph Breen of Port Dover.
