Thomas Gurr

Following a few weeks' illness, Thomas Gurr, sexton at Oakwood Cemetery for the past seven years, passed away in Norfolk General Hospital on Saturday. He was in 
his 60th year.

A native of Kent, England, the late Mr. Gurr came to Canada 36 years ago  and has since resided in Simcoe and district.

For a number of years he was a market gardener. He was a member of the Anglican Church and was a son of the late Thomas Gurr and Sarah Ann Middleton.

Besides his wife, formerly Annie Cade, he is survived by one son, Alfred, and one daughter, Mrs. Allan Clark, both of Simcoe; four brothers, Stanley of Bloomsburg, George, Sidney and Herbert of Windsor; three sisters, Mrs. H. Rutt of Windsor, 
Mrs. A. Carson of British Columbia, 
and Mrs. William Goodhew of Simcoe; and 
five grandchildren.

The funeral is being held on Monday afternoon from the Walsh Funeral Home at 3.30 o'clock, with Rev. C. C. W. Mixer of Trinity Anglican Church officiating. Interment is in Oakwood Cemetery.
