An event of great interest to
many friends and relatives in this area will be the 91st birthday of
Mrs. C. Elkanah Crysler, a native of Simcoe, and former resident of
Wyecombe and Lynedoch district, who is now living with her son in Lake
Valley, Saskatchewan.
This anniversary will be marked
in suitable fashion on Wednesday, 16 Jun 1920.
Mrs. Crysler is the former Miss
Sarah J. Ferguson, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James
Ferguson.
Mrs. Margaret Woodward of Talbot Street South, Simcoe is a sister.
Mrs. Frank W. Gray of Brock Street, Simcoe, is a daughter.
Mrs. Emma C. Ridley of Dean Street, and Mrs. Howard Hilliker of Union
Street, are step-daughters.
Numerous nephews and nieces live in Norfolk County.
Mrs. Crysler lost her husband 56
years ago, and for the past 23 years she has lived in Saskatchewan with
her son.
It is now about six years since
she last paid a visit to this district.
She is in fairly good health for
her age, and during the past winter, when her daughter-in-law was in
hospital, she performed most of the household duties.
