A lightly edited partial transcription of the LaSalette column on page 5 of the 5 Jun 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

It was with regret that this community learned on Friday last of the sad accident that resulted in the death of Mrs. Thomas Doyle Sr., who had reached the advanced age of 90 years.

In descending the stairs at her home, the aged lady missed her footing and fell to the bottom, dying very shortly after from shock and injuries.

The remains were buried in the cemetery at LaSalette, Rev. J. Mahoney officiating.

Deceased leaves to mourn her loss an aged husband, one son Thomas, and three daughters: Mrs. Geo. Smith of Buffalo, Mrs. Stroud of Woodstock, and Mrs. Merritt, at home, who has devoted a great many years of her life to the care of her aged parents.
