Death of Chas. Dertinger

Charles Dertinger, a prominent young farmer of LaSalette, died on Monday morning.

This was a sad shock to his many friends, as only a few days ago he was as well as ever.

He contracted the flu, which developed into pneumonia, and despite the best medical attention he could be given, he died Monday morning.

Mr. Dertinger was 31 years of age, of fine physique, well-known and popular among his friends.

He made his home with his mother and was the only man left to look after the farm.

Mrs. Dertinger is also ill with the flu, and they were unable to  get a nurse or anyone to look after them, Miss Myrtle Turnbull volunteered to go and do all she could to help them.

The funeral took place on Wednesday, when friends met at the family residence and proceeded to the Church of Our Lady at LaSalette for services. The family have the deepest sympathy on their many friends.
