Dr. Raymond C. Dearle, M.A., Ph.D., of Toronto, has been secured to take the chair of physics in Western University, London, succeeding Dr. Ernest Barkers, who has resigned to take up duties in research work with the United States Government at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Dearle is a graduate of Port Dover and Simcoe High Schools, and of the University of Toronto, where he received his B.A. in 1914, and M.A. in 1915. The degree Ph.D. was conferred upon him at the University of Toronto last month.

His wife was formerly Miss Luella Piette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Piette.
