of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper. 

WATERFORD

The death took place in this village on Saturday, 7 Feb 1920, of Mrs. Leonard Dean (nee Mary Ann Coombs) in her 74th year.

The late Mrs. Dean had the influenza a year ago, and it left her heart very weak, and when she was stricken with the same malady about a week ago, was unable to withstand the shock.

The deceased was a the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Combs [sic] of Townsend. She had lived in Waterford and vicinity all her life.

She is survived by a husband, two daughters, Mrs. W. Sloat of Boston and Mrs. J. Turvey of Hamilton, and two sons, Morley of Welland and Harold at home.

Both parents and several brothers and sisters also survive. The sympathy of the people of this community is extended to these.

The funeral took place on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. H Wilkins conducted the services. Interment took place in Greenwood Cemetery.
