11 Sep 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer
newspaper.
After an illness of several
years' duration, with the past eight months spent in bed, George
S. Appleford died on Sunday,
7 Sep 1919, at the family home, Nanticoke, from organic disease of
the heart.
Deceased was in his 57th
year and leaves a wife and four children, two boys and two girls,
all at home.
