The following is a lightly edited partial transcription of the Port Dover column on page 5 of the
4 Oct 1917 Simcoe Reformer.

On Tuesday, 28 Sep 1917, Mrs. Robert Wright passed away, aged 83 years.

Deceased, a native of Ireland, has been a resident of Norfolk County for some 60 years, the last 25 of which she and Mr. Wright had spent in their cosey home on Greenock Street, this village.

Possessed of a cheery, friendly disposition, deceased made many friends. With a steady confidence deceased faced the end of all earthly affairs as but the transition to a better life.

At the funeral serices on Thursday Rev. H. Brand, pastor of the Methodist Church, of which Mrs. Wright has been a member for many years, officiated.

To regret her passing deceased leaves her aged husband, one son William, and two daughters, Mrs. C. W. Challand and Mrs. N. R. Butler, all of her children living near the village.
