A lightly edited partial transcription of the Port Rowna column on page 11 of the 14 Feb 1918 Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Mrs. John W. Hutchinson died at her home in this village last Saturday from the effects of a paralytic stroke, which she suffered the previous Tuesday.

Mrs. Hutchinson was Miss Sarah L. Woodward, a daughter of the the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Woodward. She was born in Charlotteville Township 66 years ago.

After her marriage she, with her husband, settled on their farm at Rowan Mills, where they lived many years. surrounded by neighbors whose lives were bound together by the closest ties of friendship.

On account of the failure of Mr. Hutchinson's health it became necessary to quit the farm, and having bought one of the most desirable residences in the village, they have been residents of this place for the past eight years.

In addition to her sorrowing husband, she leaves to mourn her loss two sons, Alex. of Saskatoon, and Adam of  Cadilac, Sask.

Another son, William, died some nine years ago, leaving a wife and one son, who have since lived with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lampkin, at Rowan Mills

She is also survived by one brother, living at Kinston, Mich., and two sisters, Mrs. LaRue of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. W. W. Davis of Port Rowan.

The deceased in early girlhood united with the Methodist Church and constancy has been the watchword of her life. She will be greatly missed in the activities of the Neal Memorial Church, where she took such a prominent part.

The greatest of sympathy is expressed for the bereaved, especially for Mr. Hutchinson, who for years has been a sufferer from rheumatism, which has left him quite feeble.

The funeral was held from the home on Wednesday. Interment took place at Fairview Cemetery, the
Rev. J. E. Jewitt officiating.
