A lightly edited partial transcript of the Port Rowan column on page 13 of the 13 Dec 1917 issue of Simcoe Reformer.

Nelson Williams, 79, son of the late Titus Williams, died Friday of last week at Hamilton City Hospital. 

The remains were brought to the resident of his sister, Mrs. E. Bradt on Monday.

He was born on the  old family homestead in Port Rowan, now owned by James Palmerton.

After living in Michigan for several years, he returned to his native village eight years ago and made his home with his sister, Mrs. J. B. Davis.

He leaves to mourn his loss, three daughters, who reside in Michigan, the sisters mentioned above, and one brother, Chas. Williams of this village.

The funeral was held from the home on Tuesday, interment taking place in Newkirk Cemetery, St. Williams. The Rev. J. M. Smith conducted the service..
