The Late Isaac B. Whitehead

The funeral of the late Isaac B. Whitehead took place in Delhi on Wednesday afternoon, 13 Feb 1918 at 3 o'clock, from the home of his sister, Mrs. A. J. Leadbeater [sic] on William Street.

Services were conducted by Rev. M. Argyle Hurlbut.

Deceased leaves to mourn his loss four sons and one daughter, Frank and Stanley overseas, Harvey in Guelph, James on the farm at Rhineland, and Mrs. E. V. Addison of Otterville; also seven grandchildren.

The pall-bearers were Messrs. Joseph Charlton, W. Staib, Richard Pick, M. Walther, W. H. Wilbur and Mr. Kitchen. Interment was made in Delhi Cemetery.

Mr. Whitehead's illness covered a period of six weeks and although his recovery was not looked for, his death came as a great shock to his many friends. 

The deceased's hospitality and cheerful disposition won for him many friends, by whom he will be greatly missed.

The late Mr. Whitehead was born in Norfolk County, where he spent the greater part of his life. 

The floral offerings were beautiful and testified to the esteem in which the deceased was held. 

Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved family and relatives.
