A lightly edited partial transcript of Waterford column on page 2 of 22 Feb 1917 Simcoe Reformer.

The loss inside of a week of both father and mother is the heavy affliction that has come to one family in Waterford.

After an illness of a week or 10 days with pneumonia, Elizabeth Walker, wife of Robert H. Walker, died in her 59th year, on Tuesday, 13 Feb 1917, and the funeral took place Thursday the 15th.

About a week ago Mr. Walker, aged 56, was also taken down with the same trouble and on Monday morning last he also succumbed to the inevitable.

Those who remain to mourn the loss of father and mother are one daughter, Maude, of London, and five sons, Randall and Hubert of Waterford, Maurice of Grimsby, Roy of Toronto, and William near Simcoe.

To these in their extreme sad bereavement the sympathy of the the community is extended.
