Veterans Returning

Gordon Thompson and Guy Winter, members of the First Contingent of the old 39th Regiment, that went to the war under Sergt. McMaster in the autumn of 1914, are in Canada and should arrive in Simcoe this week.

Winter was wounded and gassed at St. Julien, but got back into the fighting.

Thompson served two years without a scratch and almost without leave. Lately he suffered shell shock.

If ever boys deserved a cordial welcome at the hands of their townspeople, these two have it coming to them.
