A lightly edited transcription of a page 5 item in the 24 Oct 1918 Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

The death took place at her home in Syracuse, N.Y., on Tue 15 Oct 1918 of Mrs. James Donnelly, after an illness of only three days. Death was due to quinsy.

The late Mrs. Donnelly was born in Waterford, being Maude Upthegrove [sic], youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Upthegrove [sic], and was in her 
34th year.

The remains were brought to Simcoe, Thu 17 Oct 1918, to the home of her sister, Mrs. Fred Sebring, from whence the funeral took place the following day, interment being in the family plot at Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford.

Besides Mrs. Sebring, the late Mrs. Donnelly is survived by one brother, Roy Upthegrove [sic] of Hamilton. The 
remains were accompanied from Syracuse by 
Mr. Donnelly and two daughters.
