Was Native of Port Dover

The death occurred in New York of W. H. Thompson, formerly traveling passenger agent in Ontario for the Atlas Line, with headquarters in Toronto, and later with the Allied Shipping Board in New York city.

During his residence in Toronto, Mr. Thompson was for several years connected with the Queen's Own Regiment, holding the rank of sergeant-major.

He was the eldest son of Wm. Thompson of Port Dover, one of the officers of the Canadian Government steamer Vigilant. 

He is survived by his parents and three brothers 
Earl, with the Canadian Railway Mail Service, and 
Arthur and Edgar, with Laing & Sons, Hamilton.
