A lightly edited transcription of the Langton column on page 2 of the 8 Feb 1917 Simcoe Reformer.

Langton

The death occurred at Alpena, Mich., on Sunday, 
4 Feb 1917 of Mrs. John Stewart. 

The remains were brought here to the home of her brother, Frank Swain, and the funeral takes place 
on Wednesday. Interment in Langton Cemetery.

The deceased has been ill about a month having had 
a stroke. Her sister, Mrs. Wm. Turvey of Simcoe, 
had been with her for the past two weeks.

She is survived by her husband, four sisters and 
three brothers, Mrs. Geo. Hetherington and 
Mrs. John Deeg of Langton, Mrs. Uriah Sherk of 
Woodstock, Mrs. Wm. Turvey of Simcoe,  
Frank and Charles Swain of Langton, and 
Geo. Swain of Saskatchewan.
