Mrs. Mary E. Beaty

A resident of Norfolk County most of her life, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Beaty passed away on Saturday at the home of her son, Harry Beaty, 43 Carus Avenue, Toronto, following a lengthy illness, in her 83rd year.

Born in Port Ryerse, Mrs. Beaty was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Snider. She was married 65 years ago in Simcoe to Hugh Beaty, who predeceased her in 1913. For the past eight years Mrs. Beaty had resided with her son in Toronto.

Surviving are five sons, Bruce of Renton, Harry of Toronto, John of Chicago, Seymour of Philadelphia, and Ernest of Wilmington, Del.; four daughters, Mrs. Ernest Jones (Anne) of Waterford, Mrs. F. W. Darby (Florence) of New York City, Mrs, W. C. Barker (Helena) of Simcoe, and Miss Leota Beaty of Toronto; two brothers Jack and Harry Snider of Port Dover; and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Morris and Mrs. William Oakes of Port Dover; also 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Walsh Funeral Home on Tuesday at two o'clock with Rev. G. V. Crofoot of First Baptist Church officiating and interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
