William B. Smith 
dies in 98th year

A farmer in this district all his life, William B. Smith, of RR1 Simcoe, died at his home on Friday after a lengthy illness in his 98th year.

Born in Woodhouse township, he was educated at Bethel School, Windham township.

In 1888 he was married to Margaret Beacham, and since their marriage had resided on the same farm. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are one son, Charles, of RR1 Simcoe, one sister, Mrs. Annie Rew of Detroit Michigan, and three grandchildren. His parents were George Smith and Elizabeth Vanderburg.

Funeral service will be conducted from the Walsh Funeral Home at 2.30 p.m. Monday with Rev. F. H. Wentworth officiating and interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
