Obituary

Port Dover Maple Leaf -- We have to record this week the death of Mrs. Robert A. Sinclair, who died at his mother's residence here on Thursday, 27 Sep 1917, in the 55th years of his age.

The deceased was born in the Township of Townsend but lived here the greater part of his life. He was an esteemed trusted employee of the G.T.R. for 35 years as telegrapher and bookkeeper, for the past 13 years acting in the latter capacity in Hagersville. He was also stationed in Simcoe for a couple of years.

In politics he was a staunch Reformer and in religion a Presbyterian, having been a member of Knox church for the past 20 years.

He was also a highly esteemed member of the Norfolk Lodge No. 149 A. F & A. M. He gave liberally and conscientiously whenever he thought his assistance was required.
