A lightly edited partial transcription of the Kelvin column on page 10 of the 14 Nov 1918 issue of the  Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

The death occurred on Tuesday night of Cecil Shillington at his late residence. Deceased had only been ill a few days with influenza and pneumonia.

The funeral service was conducted Thursday afternoon at the house, after which the remains were taken to Hatchley for interment.

Deceased leaves to mourn his loss a widow and small family, who will have the sympathy of the whole community in their sad bereavement.
