A lightly edited transcription of a page 6 article in the 3 Nov 1947 issue of the Simcoe Reformer.

MRS. WILLIAM RANKIN

Port Dover: The funeral of Wanda [sic] Sheeler [sic], widow of William Rankin of Port Dover, whose death occurred in East Windsor Hospital on Wednesday, in her 94th year, was held from the Thompson Funeral Home here on Saturday at two o'clock.

Rev. George Morley of Grace United officiated and interment was in Port Dover Cemetery. The pall-bearers were 
Harry Misner, Ora Lewis, James Muth, Harry Kniffen, Mr. Boulton of Windsor and Charles Nunn.

Mrs. Rankin was born and raised in Woodhouse Township and made her home in Port Dover until about four years ago when she went to live in Windsor. 

Her husband predeceased her seven years ago. She leaves one son, Robert Rankin of Kingsville and one sister, 
Mrs. Emma Kniffen of Woodhouse.
