A lightly edited transcript of a page 9 item in the 16 May 1918 Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

In connection with a convention of teachers held in Saskatoon a short time ago, the Saskatoon Phoenix
has the following reference to Mr. William H. Sharp:

"Visiting teachers at the convention will do well to get acquainted with the principal of the Princess Alexandra, the largest school in the city, for he is an advocate of
more physical drill and music in schools, believing as does many another advanced educationist, that the acquirement of grace and poise is one of the most important features of child training.

"Mr. Sharpe was born in Port Dover, Ontario, attended public and high schools there, and after courses at Simcoe Model School and London Normal, went to Queen's University. He has the B.A. degree with honors in mathematics.

"He was science master at Dunnville High School two years and also taught physical and military drill there. Since 1913 he has been principal of the Princess Alexandra School in Saskatoon.

"He married Miss Genevieve F. Steinhoff of Simcoe.
They have one daughter."
