Mrs. John Andrew Smith, formerly Miss Emma Sharp, daughter of the late David Sharp and Abigail Wyckoff, died at her home on Norfolk Street South on Tuesday evening, after a long and painful illness.

Her husband, who has been dead a number of years,
was the son of Philip Smith of Charlotteville, who was also the father of Mrs. Amelia Woolley of Simcoe, and Elbridge C. Smith of Charlotteville until recent years, when he moved to Huron county.

For a great many years Mr. and Mrs. John Andrew
Smith lived on their farm in Woodhouse.

A daughter, Miss Mabel Smith, survives, and
Mr. Lewis Sharp of Woodhouse is a brother
of the deceased.

The funeral takes place Friday afternoon.
