A lightly edited partial transcription of the Port Rowan column on page 5 of the 10 Nov 1910 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Mr. George Proper died early Sunday morning from typhoid fever. The deceased was 33 years old, and up till his last illness was possessed of a vigorous and healthy constitution.

He leaves a widow and two small children; a mother and several brothers and sisters to mourn his loss.

The funeral was held on Tuesday. The service was conducted by Rev. J. B. Brown of the Methodist church. Interment took place in Bayview Cemetery.

Mr. Proper was a member of Court Simcoe, I.O.F., and carried $1,000 insurance.
