A lightly edited partial transcript of the Port Dover column on page 9 of the 18 Oct 1917 issue of Simcoe Reformer.

Ruth Agnes Pritchard, beloved wife of Mr. Elmer Ryerse, passed away at her home her on 25 Sep 1917.

Deceased, who was born at Tyrrell, Norfolk County, became ill during the latter part of June, and it was hoped she would recover, but at last hope had to be abandoned, and deceased passed away trusting steadfastly that she would be re-united with her loved ones in the Better Land.

Deceased was secretary of Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge at the time of her death. She was also a member of the local Methodist Church and of its various societies, in the welfare of which she took a great interest, lending a helping hand whenever required.

Her husband and five children, Mrs. D. Best of Winona, Miss Edna, Glen, Sergeant Boyd of Camp Borden, and Clinton, are left to regret the passing on before of a kind and loving wife and mother.

The Rev. H. Brand, pastor of the local Methodist Church, officiated at the funeral services, which took place on Monday, 27 Sep 1917.
