The Late Wm. Pratt

Mr. Wm. Pratt, 77 years of age, passed away at his home on John Street in Simcoe, at an early hour last Saturday morning. 

Deceased had been in failing health for some months.

He was born in Ancaster, but lived the greater part of his long life on his farm in North Walsingham, near Wyecombe, where his sons and daughters were born.

His widow was Miss Maria Bottomley, daughter of the late John Bottomley of Lynedoch and sister of 
Mrs. Geo. W. Lea of Simcoe.

Mr. and Mrs. Pratt had seven children. All survive:  
Lieut. Colonel [A. C.] Pratt now in France;
John in Toronto; James of Calgary;
Harry of Windsor; Mrs. May Miller of San Diego, Cal.;
Mrs. Annie Anderson of Toronto; and 
Mrs. Marguerite Charlton of Brantford.

The funeral was held on Monday afternoon to Lynedoch Cemetery [sic], the service being conducted by Rev. H. C. Newcombe. 

The pall-bearers were: T. L. Roberts, Alfred Roberts, 
E. E. Collins, A. A. Booth, R. Craig and Dr. Burt.
