A lightly edited partial transcription of the Port Ryerse column on page 8 of the 18 Jul 1918 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Our summer visitors are here. All the cottages on the beach are occupied. Among other we note:
H. J. Brook and family
Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Jackson and Douglas
John West and family
Jas. Peachey and family
Mrs. W. E. Tisdale and children
H. B. Donly and family, all of Simcoe, are occupying 
their own cottages.

Dawson F. Aiken and family are in Mrs. Harvey Johnson's cottage
W. N. MacKay [sic] and family have Mrs. Wodward's [sic] cottage
T. J. Agar and family are in the larger of Mr. Gunton's buildings
Major W. G. Jackson and family are in Mr. M. J. McCall's comfortable summer home
Mr. and Mrs. Guy R. Marston and Mrs. Frank Stevenson with Eleanor and Bob, have been extending hospitalities to many friends since early in June, in the roomy Lea cottage.

Mr. Sutherland of the Bank of Hamilton, Delhi, has the Wilson cottage for July.

Mr. and Mrs. William Powell of Brantford have the Thompson cottage for the season. Mrs. Powell has as her guest her aunt, Mrs. Dennis of Michigan.

Rev. Mr. Carpenter and family of Delhi opened their cottage on Tuesday.

Miss Margaret Wilson of Detroit is visiting her sister, Mrs. Tisdale.

Mrs. J. A. Ivey of Cobourg and daughter Miss Marion, are the guests of Mrs. H. B. Donly. 

The family of Mr. Will Cope of Toronto are with the Wests.

Mrs. Depew and two children from the West are spending the summer with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peachey.

Mr. E. E. Collins is of course with us. Miss Collins is entertaining Mrs. Murray Hamilton and small son Robert H.
