The death took place in Toronto on 11 Dec 1918 of Mary Pegg, wife of Private Philip N. Pegg, of the 133rd Battalion.

Until recently, Mrs. Pegg and son Arthur had made their home in Simcoe. While living here Mrs. Pegg made a host of friends who will be sorry to hear of her sudden death, following an attack of influenza.

Funeral will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 11 a.m. from the residence of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles Slaght, Colborne Street north.

The funeral of Mrs. Philip Pegg, wife of Pte. Pegg, formerly of Simcoe, was held from the home of her brother-in-law, Mr. Charles Slaght of the North Ward, last Friday morning, 15 Dec 1918 at 11 o'clock.

Rev. Dr. Dey and Rev. Mr. [Patton] conducted the services. She was buried at Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Pegg was Miss Mary MacArthur before her marriage, and was a sister of Mrs. H. C. Graham, lately of Simcoe.

Her husband survives and is possibly in Germany by this time, a member of the Army of Occupation. A small son, Arthur, is also left.

Mrs. Graham and her son Arthur of Toronto, and Mrs. MacArthur of Dutton, as well as the bereaved son, were in Simcoe for the funeral.

Mrs. Pegg had influenza a couple of months ago, and her death was caused by a development of the disease.
