A lightly edited partial transcription of the Items of Interest column on page 10 of the 23 Jan 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

One of Norfolk's very oldest inhabitants, in the person of Mrs. Robert Nixon, formerly a member of the Bauslaugh family, has crossed the bar.

She was 95 years old, her long life coming to an end last Friday. The funeral was held Sunday to Oakwood cemetery, Simcoe.

She is survived by several children: 
Mrs. John Shand of Woodhouse
Mrs. Harvey Shand of Woodhouse, 
Mrs. John Hair of Townsend, 
Robert Nixon of Norfolk, Virginia, and 
Walter Nixon of Chattanooga, Tenn.
