Etc. -- Mrs. Leighton Neiderauer's misery
Introduction | Source Documents | Other Sources | Photocopies | Back

A lightly edited transcript of a page 7 article from the 28 Nov 1918 issue of the Simcoe Reformer.

Sincerest sympathy of the townspeople is felt for Mrs. Leighton Neiderauer and her family, who are passing through a great affliction.

Her little daughter Gwedolyn died on Tuesday night from diphtheria. Shortly after the death, a daughter was born to
Mrs. Neiderauer.

Scarcely a month ago the father of the family was removed by death, succumbing to an attack of influenza-pneumonia, and Mrs. Roy Lefler, Mrs. Neiderauer's twin sister, died from the same dread disease.

Yesterday, Geraldine, the twin sister of Gwendolyn, was taken ill with diphtheria.

A number of Simcoe families have been bereaved recently, but this family has been called upon to suffer even more deeply than others.
