Only the very older residents of Simcoe will have any recollection of a one-time well-known citizen of Simcoe, Mr. Charles Morris, who lived here years ago on Culver Street and was an upholsterer and carriage trimmer for Austin & Scott.

He is called to mind by the death of his son, Charles G. Morris, at his home in Mt. Morris, Michigan, on Wednesday, 3 Apr 1918 from the effects of a brain hemorrhage.

Deceased was born in Simcoe 76 years ago, but had lived in Mt. Morris half a century. He leaves three sons, two sisters and a brother. Mrs. Clarlasa Misner of Woodhouse is a sister.
