Mrs.
Mary E. Meharg
Mrs. Mary E, Meharg, widow of
the late John Meharg, died Sunday, 4 Mar 1917 at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. C. Hetherington of Glenmeyer. Deceased was in
her 77th year.
Since the death of her
husband, years ago, she had made her home among her children. She
was a life-long Methodist and at the time of her death a member of
the Kinglake Church.
Eleven children survive her:
two daughters,
Mrs. C. Hetherington of Glenmeyer and
Mrs. Geo. Whitesell of Glenmeyer, and nine sons:
Whitfield and Robert of Glenmeyer,
John at Vienna, David at Port Burwell,
Nicholas of Yale, Mich., Charles of Pontiac, Mich., William and
James of Alpena, Mich., and
Alfred of Wisconsin.
The funeral was held
Wednesday afternoon. Interment took place in Kinglake
Cemetery.
The pall-bearers were six
sons, namely Robert, John, David, Nicholas, William and Charles.
