Death of Mrs. Rob. J. McKiee

Simcoe, Dec. 29 -- A former resident of Simcoe, in the person of Mrs. Robert J. McKiee, died on Christmas Day at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. M. Elliott in Crete, Nebraska, after a week of illness, pneumonia being the cause of death.

Mrs. McKiee, who was in her 58th year, was predeceased by her husband some 11 years. 
Both Mr. and Mrs. McKiee were identified with Simcoe for many years, Mr. McKiee being a former business man here.

Mrs. McKiee was a daughter of the late James Cutting. She is survived, by her only daughter Mrs. Elliott, two brothers and three sisters: James and William R. Cutting and 
Mrs. John Porter, all of Simcoe; 
Mrs. Brown of Glendale, California, and 
Mrs. Owen of Bay City, Michigan.

The body is expected in Simcoe on Saturday, accompanied by  Dr. and Mrs. Elliott, and the funeral will take place on Sunday at 2.30 p.m. from Trinity church to Oakwood Cemetery.

It is about three years since Mrs. McKiee left Simcoe to go with her daughter, who is known 
to many of the younger residents of Simcoe as Miss Clara McKiee.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Susie McKiee, who died at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. W. M. Elliott, at Crete, Nebraska, took place on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.

Mrs. McKiee had been ill with pneumonia for about a week, dying on Christmas Day in her 58th year.

She was the widow of Robert J. McKiee and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Cutting. She had lived in Simcoe until about three years ago, when she went to Nebraska to make her home with her daughter.

Besides Mrs. Elliott, two brothers and three sister survive. They are Messrs. James and William R. Cutting and Mrs. Jonathan Porter 
of Simcoe, Mrs. Brown of Glendale, California, and Mrs. Owen of Bay City, Michigan.

The service was held in Trinity Church and interment took place at Oakwood Cemetery. 
The pall-bearers were Messrs. Chas. E. Boyd, 
G. H. Luscombe, R. S. McGill, G. R. Marston, 
G. A. Curtis and Wm. Burt.
