Michael Maddigan [sic], an old resident of Simcoe, passed away rather suddenly Friday morning.

He was working on Thursday, planting corn, and during the day complained to some of his neighbors of having much difficulty breathing.

He retired at an early hour and in the morning when Mrs. Maddigan went in to his room to call him to breakfast, she found that he was dead. Judging from appearances he had been dead for some hours.

Dr. Hayes, who was immediately summoned says the cause of death was heart failure.

Deceased was in his 82nd year and leaves a widow and two sons, John Maddigan of Houston Texas, and Patrick Maddigan, to mourn his lost.
