Introduction | Source Documents | Other Sources | Photocopies | Back

A lightly edited partial transcript of the Waterford column on page 2 of the 7 Nov 1918 Simcoe Reformer.

Little Walter Kidder, aged six years, passed away Sunday, 3 Nov 1918, about 5 p.m., from an attack of influenza.

Over a year ago the little lad had spinal meningitis, which left him very weak physically, but notwithstanding this, he was apparently getting over the disease, and in fact on Sunday morning was as bright and cheerful as could be, when suddenly he was taken worse and died.

The funeral took place on Wednesday from the residence of his father, Lewis Kidder, Main Street. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

The sorrowing family have the sympathy of their many friends.
