Mrs. Culver Kitchen

Sarah Ann Karnes, wife of Culver G. Kitchen, passed away at her home, 259 Union Street last evening in her 61st year.

Deceased had been in poor health some time and for the past two weeks had been confined to bed. She was able to be up on Saturday for a few hours but became worse on Sunday when she suffered a stroke, failing to regain consciousness.

The late Mrs. Kitchen was a daughter of the late 
Patrick Karnes and Ann Smith. She was born in Nixon, 
7 Oct 1876, and had resided in Simcoe for the past 22 years.

Besides her husband she is survived by one brother, Martin J. Karnes of Buffalo, N.Y., also two half-sisters, Mrs. Lorne Rice and Mrs. Clayton Coates of Simcoe; three half-brothers, Frank and Peter Karnes of Simcoe and Joseph Karnes of Eden; and her stepmother, Mrs. Margaret Karnes of Simcoe.

The funeral will be conducted from her late residence, 256 Union street, tomorrow (Friday) morning to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church where Requiem Mass will be chanted at nine o'clock. Interment will be in 
St. Mary's R. C. cemetery in Windham Township.
