A lightly edited transcription of an item on page 9 of the 14 May 1914 issue of Simcoe Reformer.

Mr. J. B. Hambidge, an old and esteemed resident 
of Aylmer, died recently in New York, aged 74 years.

His body was brought home for burial on Sunday, 
3 May 1914 in the Aylmer cemetery.

Mr. Hambridge was well known to some of the older residents here, he having been many years ago, a 
resident of Simcoe, with his father, at one time a prominent citizen.

Mr, Safford Kitchen of Bloomsburg is a nephew of the deceased, his mother, the widow of the late Charles Kitchen, Esq., being a sister.

Mrs. Lewis Collver of Bloomsburg is another sister.
