A lightly edited partial transcript of the Items of Local Interest column on page 12 of the 28 Nov 1918 issue of the Simcoe Reformer.

The late Mrs. Gatton's funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. A. B. Farney officiating.

The aged lady died Thursday, after an illness of three weeks, just as arrangements were completed for her reception in a city hospital for treatment.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Gatton, and her daughter Mrs. Gurling of San Diego, Cal., formerly of this town.

Mr. and Mrs. Gatton came here from England a number of years ago.

Deceased was 77 years of age.
