Death of Dr. Dunlop

The death of Dr. Robert Dunlop of "Mayfield Farm," Boston, took place on Friday. Deceased was of the old English school -- dignifieid, courteous and kind.

He was born on Berwick-on-Tweed, and for 15 years practiced his profession in the city of Manchester. 

In 1850 he came to this country, and bought a farm near Boston, on which he lived for nearly half a century.

He rarely practiced his profession in this country, but devoted his time to agricultural and other pursuits.

The doctor leaves a wife and six children, five sons and one daughter, to mourn his loss, three children having predeceased him.

He was greatly beloved bby all members of his family, to whom the sympathy of the community in which he lived so long will go out.

He was a life-long conservative. 

The funeral took place Monday to 
Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
