Died at Vanessa

Mr. James D. Clement, died at his home in Vanessa on Saturday, 22 Dec 1917, aged 76 years.

He was a son of the late Nelson Clement and had always been a prominent citizen of Windham Township.

He leaves one son, Nelson Clements, and two sisters, Mrs. H. F. Tetter of Waterford, and Mrs. Albert Bartholomew of Uxbridge.

The funeral was help from his late residence on Wednesday afternoon, the service being held at Vanessa Methodist church.

James Clement, an old and respected resident of this place, died at the residence of his son on Monday last.

Deceased had only been ill a few days with heart trouble. He was a consistent member of the Methodist Church and had reached the advanced age of 76 year.

The funeral services were conducted on Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church here by former pastor, the Rev. Mr. Smitherman, after which the remains were buried in the Vanessa cemetery.

Deceased leaves to mourn his demise an only son, Nelson Clement of Vanessa, his wife and two married daughter [sic] having predeceased him several years ago.
