A lightly edited partial transcription of the Items of Interest column on page 16 of the 30 Jan 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Mrs. Clarence Challen, formerly Miss Ella Adams of this town, died in Hamilton on Monday. 

She was taken to the hospital on Friday for operation, becoming unconscious, and never rallying.

She leaves her husband, also a former resident of this town, and two children; also her mother, Mrs. George Dell of Simcoe, and two brothers, Albert A. Adams and Harold Dell, both of Hamilton.

The funeral is being held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Baptist Church, the service being in charge of Rev. H. C. Newcombe.
