John L. Chadwick

The death occurred on Friday of John L. Chadwick, at the home of Mrs. J. R. MacLeod, 243 John street. following a lengthy illness. He was in his 83rd year.

Well known throughout Norfolk county, the late Mr. Chadwick was the son of of the late John Chadwick and Charlotte Rusling.

He was born on a farm in Woodhouse Gore where he lived until three and a half years ago, retiring and moving to Simcoe.

He was member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Canadian Order of Foresters. 

He is survived by one son, Bert, of Chicago.

The funeral was held this afternoon from the home of Mrs. MacLeod at two o'clock with the Rev. Murray Simmons of Simcoe Baptist church officiating.

'The pallbearers were William Culver, Reuben Jarvis, Joseph Smith, Charles Culver, Joseph Gilbertson and Perry Sowden.

Interment was in St. John's Cemetery, Woodhouse.
