A lightly edited partial transcription of a Items of Interest column on page 7 of the 3 Oct 1918 Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

The death took place on Friday, 27 Sep 1918 at the Toronto General Hospital of James Hermon [sic] Cantelon, in his 36th year.

The late Mr. Cantelon went from here to Toronto 
about four years ago. He was born near Orangeville, 
but the greater part of his life was spent in this county.

His widow was Miss Jennie Baker, daughter of the 
late Mr. and Mrs. S. Baker of Windham. He also 
leaves four children, the oldest of whom is 13. 
Mr. W. Edgar Cantelon of Simcoe is a brother.

The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Mr. Garnham in Toronto, and the body was brought to Simcoe for burial at the Woodhouse Methodist Cemetery on Monday.
