A lightly edited transcription of a page 12 item in the 7 Mar 1918 Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

The funeral of the late Mark Brown, who passed suddenly away on the morning of 10 Feb 1918, took place the following Wednesday afternoon from his home in Walsingham to Silver Hill Cemetery. 

The services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Rarbaree.

Deceased was in his 80th year and had been a lifelong resident of Norfolk County, living for the past 33 years in Walsingham.

He is survived by his widow and by his seven children, five daughters and two sons. They are:
Mrs. Frank McKim of Brantford,
Mrs. Arthur Zimmerman of Niagara Falls,
Mrs. Frank Robb of South River,
Mrs. Wilbert North of Hatchley,
Mrs. Charles North of Burgessville,
Mark E. Brown of Charlotteville,
and Norman at home.
His eldest son, Charles, of Norwalk, Ohio, 
predeceased his father four years ago.
