WATERFORD

The remains of the late Thomas T. [sic] Brier, who died suddenly at Boston, Mass., on Wednesday, arrived
here Sunday evening, accompanied by his son Cyril [sic].

The late Mr. Brier, who was just 52 years of age, and formerly foreman in Penman's mills here, had a
position in Boston, and only a week ago Monday had returned to that city after spending a week-end here
with Mrs. Brier and their son Cyril [sic].

He had never known a day's illness, so it can easily be imagined what a shock the family received when they learned of his death.

To add to their sorrow, one son, Raymond, in the Aviation Corps, just a short time ago was on his last
leave and is now in England.

To the sorrowing widow and two sons the deepest sympathy of the people of this village and the surrounding country is extended.

The funeral took place on Monday at 10 a.m. and as a
mark of esteem and respect, Penman's mills closed down during the time of the services to allow their employees
to attend. The services were conducted by the
Rev. F. Anderson. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
