Our sympathies are extended to the many relatives of the late Mrs. Margaret L. Birdsell, who found rest from a very painful illness on Friday afternoon last. The funeral service was conducted at the residence of her son, Aquilla Birdsell, with whom she has resided for many years, on Monday afternoon.

A transcript of a page 5 article in the 12 Feb 1925 Waterford Star:

Old Resident Gone

Mrs. Margaret L. Birdsell, widow of the late John Y. Birdsell, died at the home of her son, Mr. Aquilla Birdsell, north of Waterford on Friday last, after an illness of three weeks with gangrene.

She was a resident of Owosso, Mich., in 1861, when she married Mr. Birdsell, and came to Townsend township, where she has resided ever since and as a loving wife, devoted mother and kind neighbor, had many friends who regret her demise although she was spared more than the allotted span of life.

There were three children, Mrs. B. Haviland, of Detroit,
who died last April, Elmer of Waterford, and Aquilla of Townsend. She was a member of the Wilsonville Methodist Church.

The funeral service was conducted at her late home by
Rev. F. G. Rickard on Monday last.
