Death of a Windham Pioneer.

The death occurred on Tuesday 2 Jul 1901 of Mr. John Billo, a highly respected pioneer of Windham, at his home at LaSalette.

The deceased has been ailing about a year, and about two months ago was found unconscious in a field on his farm. Since that time he has been very ill and his demise was not unexpected. Death was due to heart failure.

Mr. Billo was born in Germany 73 years ago. He came to this country when he was about 18 years of age and a few years afterwards came to LaSalette where he settled on the farm on which he died.

Mrs. Calvin Leach [sic] of this place is a daughter of the deceased.
