Died in South Dakota

Aberdeen News. -- Mrs. Harry Hockum [sic], 48 years old, died at her home at 219 Ninth avenue southwest in this city after a short illness.

Edna Appleford was born in Mapleton, Ont., 22 Oct 1871. She married John Hempstead on 27 Mar 1901, and to this union four children were born, Alice, Ruth, Harriet and Esther. Mr. Hempstead died 1 Oct 1908.

On 23 May 1916, she married Harry Hocum [sic]. To them was born a son on 8 May 1917. 

Besides her children and her husband, Mrs. Hocum [sic] leaves to mourn her death her mother, Mrs. William Appleford, her brothers, Ed. Appleford of this city, and 
U. L. Appleford of Andrie, and three sisters, Miss Harriet Appleford, Miss Winnifred Kaiser, and Mrs. Bell Beecraft, all of Aberdeen, Mrs. James Truesdale of South Dakota.
