A lightly edited partial transcript of the Port Rowan column on page 7 of the 10 Apr 1919 issue of Simcoe Reformer.

Mrs. Elizabeth Francis, widow of the late 
C. C. Francis, died at her home in Toronto and was brought here for burial on Tuesday of last week.

The deceased was a daughter of the late Captain Allan, who will be remembered 
by many of the older generation.

Mrs. Francis was a faithful member of the Baptist church. She was a good Christian and a woman of many noble qualities.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters -- Charles of Toronto, 
and James of Windsor, 
Mary, Mrs. Lundy Jackson of Duluth, 
and Miss Helen Francis of Toronto.

The remains were taken from the train to Bayview cemetery, where interment took place. The obsequies at the grave were conducted by the Rev. J. M. Smith.
